CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) – The Cleveland Indians have announced that outfielder Johnny Damon will join the club in Chicago for the start of a three-game series against the White Sox on Tuesday.
Damon, who was signed by the Indians as a free agent on April 17th, has been preparing to join the Major League club at the team’s spring training facilities in Goodyear, Arizona. He will be added to the 25 and 40 man rosters on Tuesday, at which time the team will announce a corresponding roster move.
Damon will wear jersey number 33, and is expected to be part of a platoon in left field with Shelley Duncan.
