CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) – While it was a scary moment on Thursday when Indians DH Travis Hafner was hit on the hand with a pitch, it appears he will be just fine.
The Tribe DH is in the lineup for the first interleague game of the season tonight as the Indians take on the Miami Marlins at Progressive Field.
Hafner didn’t hit during the Indians rally in the 11th to overcome the Seattle Mariners 6-5. The DH said after the game that he felt he would be ok, and the fact he’s in the lineup shows that tonight.
Regular third basemen Jack Hannahan is out again for the game vs Miami, as he is still suffering from a sore low back. Jose Lopez, who hit a three-run homer against Seattle Thursday, is again starting at third base in place of Hannahan.
