HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (CBS Cleveland) – An argument over a late-night $.99 taco will more than likely cost an enraged Ohio man, who drove his truck into the side of a Taco Bell, more than $1.
A 23-year-old man was arrested early this morning for allegedly ramming his truck into the side of a Taco Bell after he didn’t receive one of the tacos he had ordered.
At around midnight, a 23-year-old man ordered several $.99 tacos at the drive-up window of a local Taco Bell, according to a news release from Huber Heights police. Soon thereafter, the man would discover he wasn’t given one of the tacos he had ordered. Upon learning that he was missing a taco, the man allegedly returned to the Taco Bell and began to yell at the cashier.
But it didn’t end there. According to police, the man rammed his white truck into one of the customer entrances on the side of the Taco Bell outlet. At 12:16 a.m., Huber Heights police were notified of the crash. Although the man fled the scene, his truck left a trail of automotive fluid that helped lead police to the man’s residence. He was arrested a short while later.
“The suspect, a 23-year-old male, admitted to intentionally striking the building after realizing he did not get one of the tacos he ordered,” police said in a news release.
The man has been charged with felony vandalism and is being held at Montgomery County Jail. Police told CBS Cleveland that the man’s name is being withheld pending formal charges.
