CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) – Indians catcher Carlos Santana has been cleared for a minor league rehab appearance.
Santana will be in the lineup as the designated hitter for the Lake County Captains, the class A affiliate for the Cleveland Indians, on Monday night.
Santana is on the 7-day disabled list due to a concussion he suffered while the Indians played the White Sox in Chicago on May 25th. He is expected to return to play with the Indians as soon as Tuesday.
The Lake County Captains will host the Fort Wayne Tin Caps at Classic Park in Eastlake at 7:00pm.
