SELLERSBURG, Ind. (CBS Cleveland/AP) — Authorities say a hot air balloon crashed in southern Indiana, injuring three people.
WAVE-TV in Louisville, Ky., reports the balloon crashed about 8 p.m. Wednesday near Sellersburg.
Clark County officials told WAVE that the balloon was carrying a couple who had just gotten engaged. The station reports the three people were treated at the scene for burns after the balloon hit power lines.
The groom-to-be performed CPR on the pilot, Dallas Beall, until paramedics arrived at the scene, WAVE reports. The future bride was also shocked after Beall fell on top of her.
A spokesman for the Clark County Sheriff’s Department did not answer a phone call seeking details Thursday morning.
