CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) – The Plain Dealer’s Mary Schmitt Boyer is reporting today that the Cavaliers have expressed interest in veteran point guard and five-time NBA Champion Derek Fisher.
There’s reported to be five possible destinations for Fisher, with Brooklyn, Chicago, Dallas, the Cavs and his home last season – Oklahoma City, on the list.
Fisher will turn 38 in August, and could be a nice backup to last seasons Rookie of the Year, Kyrie Irving.
He also would be a solid replacement for veterans Anthony Parker and Antawn Jamison. On a side note, Fisher is also is the president of the NBA Players Association.
