DELAWARE, Ohio (AP) — A former teacher in central Ohio has been arrested for possessing images of nude children after authorities said a flash drive containing photos was found at his desk this spring.

The Delaware County prosecutor says that 50-year-old Todd German was arrested and indicted Thursday on 20 counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material.

Prosecutor Carol O’Brien said German resigned as an instructor at the Delaware Area Career Center in March, and a flash drive found at his desk was later turned over to authorities.

O’Brien’s office said German had served in the volunteer roles of special deputy and reserve deputy with the nearby Union County Sheriff’s Office since June of 1983. He has resigned.

Court records do not list an attorney for German, who is from Richwood.
