SOMERSET, Pa. (AP) — Police say they found suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia in a makeshift ice cream truck after parents complained about the suspicious vehicle.
Somerset police say the van with hand-painted spots was stopped Monday afternoon following complaints from parents. Inside officers say they found drugs, needles, syringes and a tourniquet.
Authorities say the truck was a white cargo van that had been repurposed to hand out icy treats. The vehicle’s suspicious appearance prompted parents to call police.
Investigators say the driver faces charges.
