CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) - The Cleveland Browns waived kicker Jeff Wolfert Saturday the team announced.
In 2 preseason games Wolfert connected on 2 of his 3 field goals attempted while converting all 3 PATs.
The team did not announce any corresponding move to fill the vacant roster spot.
Phil Dawson, who has been with the team since it returned in 1999, will handle kicking duties for the 14th straight year.
Dawson is set to make $3.8 million after being franchised for a second consecutive year.
