CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) - Running back Trent Richardson will make his NFL debut Sunday afternoon and start for the Cleveland Browns against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Richardson underwent surgery to remove a small piece of cartilage from his left knee on Aug. 9 and missed the entire preseason but returned to practice Monday.
Linebacker Scott Fujita was not activated from the exempt list and will not play. A 3-member panel temporarily lifted his 3-game suspension making him eligible for Sunday’s game.
The NFL also gave the Browns a roster exemption for Fujita meaning the team didn’t have to make a roster move to activate him.
Inactive for the Browns are: QB Thaddeus Lewis, S Usama Young, RB Chris Ogbonnaya, WR Jordan Norwood, CB Trevin Wade, OL Oniel Cousins and LB James-Michael Johnson.
