CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) – The Cleveland Cavaliers will hold their annual ‘Wine and Gold Scrimmage” at Quicken Loans Arena on Saturday, Oct. 6 the team announced Tuesday.

The intra-squad scrimmage, where Wine meets Gold, will be the first look for fans at the 2012-13 Cavaliers.

For several years the annual scrimmage was held at the J.A.R. on the campus of The University of Akron but was moved to the Q last year.

The scrimmage will tip off at 5 p.m. with gates to the event set to open at 4 p.m.

Admission is free and tickets are available at the arena box office with a limit of 6 per transaction.

The Cavaliers will host 3 preseason home games at Quicken Loans Arena on Monday, Oct. 8 vs. Montepaschi Siena (Euroleague) 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 13 vs. the Washington Wizards at 7:30 p.m.; and Tuesday, Oct. 23 vs. the Indiana Pacers at 7:00 p.m.

The Cavaliers will tip off the regular season Oct. 30 at home against the Washington Wizards.
