Kiley & Booms

Tony Zarrella, the sports director at 19 Action News and host of Tailgate 19, came on the air this morning to discuss the idea Kiley floated earlier in the show, that recently fired Bobby Valentine would be a better fit than Terry Francona or Sandy Alomar. Tony, aware of Kiley’s NFL career, still threatened to come in and “drop him” for even suggesting that idea. Tony Z criticized Valentine’s managing style and said a leader doesn’t throw his coaches and players under the bus. Tony still believes Terry Francona will be the new manager out of a desire to try and win with a small market club. Tony also gave his optimistic prediction for the Browns-Giants game, with the Browns emerging victorious, 23-20.
