CINCINNATI, Ohio (CBS Cleveland) — An anti-abortion protester ran onto the field before Tuesday night’s playoff game between the San Francisco Giants and Cincinnati Reds at the Great American Ball Park.
According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, Rives Grogan of Los Angeles was charged with trespassing and resisting arrest after running onto the field carrying a sign that said “Abortion Is Sin.”
The game was delayed for three minutes while police chased after him.
This is not the first time that Grogan has been in trouble with the law. The Enquirer reports that Grogan was arrested in 2009 during a Supreme Court abortion hearing.
And two weeks ago, Grogan disrupted a Pat Robertson rally at Independence Hall in Philadelphia.
“Obama is bringing sin on the nation. Support Mitt Romney,” Grogan yelled while Robertson was talking, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer. “Don’t be a hypocrite. Who are you going to vote for?”
The Reds ended up losing to the Giants 2-1 in 10 innings. The Reds hold a two-games-to-one lead in the National League Decision Series.
