Coach Sam Rutigliano came on the air this morning to break down the Browns ugly win in the elements yesterday versus the Chargers. Coach Sam attributed the win to the good play of the defense and a strong game by Trent Richardson. Coach found plenty to be positive and complimentary towards the Browns, despite the low scoring win. Weeden played mistake free and gave the Chargers bad field position towards the end of the game, and the pass protection continues to perform well. Coach Sam also said it was one of those games where things went the Browns way, citing San Diego’s Meachem dropping a wide open pass and Montario Hardesty’s fumble, which he was fortunate enough to recover himself. Coach Sam also weighed in on the Chargers situation with coach Norv Turner and quarterback Philip Rivers under-performing.
