Kiley & Booms

Happen to miss the show this morning? If you did, well, don’t let it happen again. Here’s a taste of what was discussed.

6:24 - Brandon Weeden returned to the practice field yesterday and the Browns said he will start on Sunday. This was a huge blow to the Colt McCoy supporters, including Booms, who desperately wants to see what McCoy can do with this supporting cast. They then opened up this quarterback debate to the callers.

7:24 - Kiley asked the audience “Why should Brandon Weeden start?” They opened up the lines to callers to give their argument for why Weeden should start, or why McCoy should be given a chance. Brandon from Cleveland, a former collegiate quarterback and current high school football coach lobbied for McCoy, claiming arm strength is the most overrated attribute in a quarterback.

8:05 - Kiley and Booms were discussing a variety of topics during the 8 o’clock hour, and mentioned James Harden’s return to Oklahoma City as a member of the Houston Rockets. The guys then got into a debate on whether it’s better as an athlete to be on a championship team as a contributor, or to be on a lesser team as a star. Goat B then shared a story of a friend of his who was drafted in the NBA as an example of how money isn’t guaranteed to draft picks.

9:44 - James Vigmond, a lawyer in Ontario, Canada, called in to talk with Kiley and Booms about his recent purchase to show his love for the Toronto Maple Leafs. James bought an old toilet from Maple Leaf Gardens for $5,300. James is still in disbelief about his purchase, and talked about the night of bidding which led to him winning the toilet, which came with a certificate of authenticity.
