Happen to miss the show this morning? If you did, well, don’t let it happen again. Here’s a taste of what was discussed.
44 - Joe Thomas broke the silence yesterday on all the drama surrounding Peyton Hillis last year in Cleveland. Joe Thomas called the situation “toxic” and accused Hillis of only being concerned for his contract and not playing in games due to “strep throat” and getting married in the middle of the season. Kiley and Booms discussed this and asked is this another casualty from Mike Holmgren’s tenure?
24 - Kiley and Booms continued to discuss Joe Thomas sounding off on former teammate Peyton Hillis. The Hillis’ contract dispute in 2011 was revisited, and Kiley read more of Thomas’ comments. Booms called Joe Thomas “cowardly” for addressing the situation the way he did, and the guys opened up the phones for the callers to weigh in on the debate.
06 - All morning, Kiley had been asking the audience if they wanted to hear the grisly 911 call from Jovan Belcher’s mother the morning of the murder-suicide. Kiley asked people to express whether they wanted to hear by calling in an on Twitter. The majority ruled, and the call was played. After the 911 call, the guys took a call from a man who recently had to call 911 for his mother.
24 - Our “Legal Eagle” Avery Friedman called in to give his expert legal opinions about the Jovan Belcher murder-suicide, the police chase and shootout last weekend in Cleveland and an 8 year old girl who was bitten by a dolphin at Sea World.
44 - Glen Styles from Rick’s Barbershop in Shawnee, Kansas called in to talk a little smack about the Browns-Chiefs game this Sunday. Before the trash talk began, Glen spoke about the Jovan Belcher tragic murder-suicide and how difficult it’s been for Chiefs fans. Glen predicted a “boring” game, which the Chiefs will win, 14-7.
