CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) – The Indians search for pitching is still a work in progress, and the latest name to be in the mix is righty Edwin Jackson.

Last season Jackson was 10-11 with the Washington Nationals with a 4.03 ERA in 31 starts. Jackson has also played with six other teams – Tampa Bay, LA Dodogers, Chicago White Sox, Arizona, St.Louis and Detroit.

He’s a lifetime 70-71 with a 4.40 ERA in his 10-year career.

Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal says that the Indians are in talks with Jackson, as well as continue to try to chat with OF Nick Swisher.

Rosenthal says that it’s unlikely that the Indians would sign both players if given the chance.

The Chicago Cubs are also in talks with Jackson, and it’s being speculated that he could get as much as a four-year deal from a team that could reach about $50 million.

Jackson is 29 years old, and is 6’3, 210 pounds.
