Cleveland (92.3 The Fan)- Add travel difficulties to the list of obstacles the Cavaliers have faced this season. After last night’s 99-89 loss to Indiana, the Cavs were planning on flying to Milwaukee for tonight’s game against the Bucks. However, Mother Nature had other ideas as the snow storm that hit the Cleveland area yesterday forced the team to make the flight today instead.
Injuries are another impediment this Cavs team has been forced to play through. One player currently down for the team is Anderson Varejao. AV did not travel with the team to Milwaukee as he continues to receive treatment for his right knee contusion. The big Brazilian’s absence means that rookie Tyler Zeller will make just his third NBA start tonight.
The final hurdle the Cavs have faced this season has been inconsistency, specifically on the defensive end. The Cavs are giving up an average of 100.3 points per game to opposing teams.
Meanwhile, the Bucks are in fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings and led by guard tandem Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis. Ellis is coming off a 27 point performance in the Bucks 99-94 win over the Celtics.
Tip off in the BMO Bradley Harris Center is set for 8 30 pm.
