CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) – For all Indians fans who were upset when the team designated Russ Canzler for assignment, those fans can rejoice today.
The team has brought him back, claiming him back from the Toronto Blue Jays. In making that move, the club has designated right-hander Jeanmar Gomez for assignment
Canzler was claimed from the Blue Jays on waivers after the Indians made the move for the pickup of 1B Mark Reynolds official.
The 24-year-old Gomez was 5-8 last season with an ERA of 5.96. Canzler with the Tribe last season in the month of September played in 26 games, hitting .269 with 3 homers and 11 RBI.
