Mark Schwab, from 19 Action News and TheFan, came on the air this morning to spell a vacationing Tony Zarrella to talk about the Browns pursuit for Chip Kelly in their head coaching search. Mark said he normally doesn’t want a college coach coming to a pro team, but he believes Chip Kelly is the exception. Mark talked about several candidates that Jimmy Haslam and Joe Banner are looking at for the head coach position, some which were better than others. Mark said the Browns have put themselves in an “OK” position in the early offseason, acting aggressively in the first week of the offseason. Mark also dispelled some myths about Chip Kelly’s offensive scheme, noting that despite the spread formation, it’s a rushing offensive game plan.
