Happen to miss the show this morning? If you did, well, don’t let it happen again. Here’s a taste of what was discussed.
05 - The Cavs beat the Hawks 99-83 last night at the Q, but the bigger story yesterday was Anderson Varejao. The Cavs forward/center had missed several games with a bruised knee, but then it was revealed yesterday he would require surgery on a “longitudinal split” of the muscle between his quad and his knee, and would be out 6-8 weeks. The guys talked about this, and debated the superstar status of Kyrie Irving.

05 - The Academy Award nominations were released this morning, and WOIO’s entertainment reporter, Chris Van Vliet, called in a couple hours before the announcement of this year’s Oscar nominees to give his opinion of what films he feel will make the cut.

23 - Yesterday, for the first time since 1996, the Baseball Hall of Fame failed to induct any new members. The steroid era is the reason not one player ended up with 75% of the vote required to be inducted. Kiley and Booms debated the writers’ decision, and asked can you have a Hall of Fame without including this era of baseball’s history?

44 - Bryan Kuch, physical therapist at Precision Othopedics, called in to provide his medical opinion on Anderson Varejao’s “bruised knee” which was revealed yesterday to be a more serious injury, a “longitudinal split” of the muscle between his quad and his knee and Robert Griffin III’s highly talked about knee injury.
