CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) – The Indians today announced that Major League Baseball’s owners have formally approved Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Paul Dolan as the teams official “control person.”
Each Major League club’s control person is responsible for team operations and for his or her team’s compliance with MLB rules.
Paul, the son of Larry Dolan joined the Indians in 2000 after his father Larry acquired the team. He served as vice president and general counsel until 2004, when he was named team president. In 2011, he took on the chairman and CEO roles.
“I am honored by the faith Major League Baseball’s owners have placed in me. In Cleveland, we remain committed to winning a World Series championship while also enriching the lives of Greater Clevelanders through our community outreach efforts,” Paul Dolan said in a statement.
