Kiley & Booms

Tony Zarrella, the sports director at 19 Action News and host of Tailgate 19, came on the air this morning to talk about the Browns big “splash”, new head coach Rob Chudzinski. Tony talked to some sources on Chudzinski, who told him he is motivating and a good offensive mind, but feels the Browns may have panicked in this hire. Tony loved the addition of Norv Turner as offensive coordinator, and said it makes the Chudzinski hire a ‘6’ to a ‘9’. Tony agreed with Booms that Ken Wisenhunt might have made more sense, and still wanted the team to give an interview to Lovie Smith. Tony talked about Jimmy Haslam and Joe Banner’s methods throughout this coaching search and why they settled on Rob Chudzinski, and how the prospect of switching to a 3-4 defense scares him.
