Redskins DBs Coach To Interview For Browns DC Opening
CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) – Washington Redskins defensive backs coach Raheem Morris will interview Friday for the Browns’ defensive coordinator opening a source confirmed to 92.3 The Fan Wednesday evening.
Morris was the head coach of the Buccaneers where he went 17-31 in 3 seasons.
Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times also reported Morris’ interview with the Browns.
Browns coach Rob Chudzinski has yet to name any members of his coaching staff that have been hired but formal announcements are expected to come soon.
Norv Turner, who has been on vacation, will be named the offensive coordinator 92.3 The Fan confirmed shortly after Chudzinski was hired on Jan. 10.
CEO Joe Banner said Tuesday that he’s met with 6 candidates for the GM/personnel opening and they hope to come to a decision soon but are not placing a timetable on it.
