INDIANAPOLIS (92.3 The Fan) – Nearly 45 NFL executives and head coaches are scheduled to speak formally to the media at the NFL Combine this week but Cleveland Browns VP/player personnel Michael Lombardi will not be among them.

Browns coach Rob Chudzinski will represent the team in the media room at this year’s combine.

Chudzinski, who is scheduled to speak at 10 a.m. Friday, is being joined this week in Indianapolis by Lombardi, CEO Joe Banner, as well as other front office personnel and scouts who will comb through some 300-plus NFL draft hopefuls over the next 6 days.

Lombardi had spent the last 5 years as an analyst before joining the Browns but will not be made available to his former media brethren a team spokesman said.

Of the 7 new general managers/executives hired this year, only Lombardi and new Cheifs GM John Dorsey will not speak formally. New coach Any Reid will represent the team holding the top pick in this year’s NFL Draft Thursday afternoon at 3.

Last year former coach Pat Shurmur solely represented the Browns with the media because then general manager Tom Heckert remained in Cleveland following heart surgery.
