6:44 – Today is the 33rd anniversary of the 1980 U.S. men’s Olympic hockey team upsetting the Russians, in what is known as the “Miracle on Ice.” Kiley and Booms reminisced about the game, and asked what is the greatest United States sports moment of all time?


7:24 – 19 Action News’ entertainment reporter Chris Van Vliet called in to preview the Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday, and talk about the differences in this year’s award ceremony compared to previous years. Chris also talked about how strict security is during Oscar weekend. Chris talked about his “locks” to pick up an Oscar, and also the various favorites and underdogs.


8:05 – Dr. Jeff Kuklinski, an emergency medical physician from Allentown, PA, and the co-medical director for clinical services at Pocono Raceway, talked about his involvement with NASCAR. Jeff talked about the different crashes that occur at different tracks, and what the medical response team does when there is an accident on the track.


8:44 – Tony Zarrella, the sports director at 19 Action News and host of Tailgate 19, called in to talk about the Browns brass at the NFL combine and the Indians beginning their exhibition games today.


9:44 – And of course, it’s Friday, 9:40 a.m. and that means it’s the best of the week with In Case You Missed It.
