Happen to miss the show this morning? If you did, well, don’t let it happen again. Here’s a taste of what was discussed.

6:22 – NFL Player’s Association President, Domonique Foxworth, appeared on Bull and Fox yesterday afternoon and talked about gay players in the NFL. Kiley and Booms discussed the growing trend of gay equality in sports, and talked about the various advocates and supporters for the movement.

7:55 – Nathan Vale, a junior bowler at Fairport Harbor High School, called in to talk about his team’s appearance in the state playoffs, the first playoff appearance for Fairport Harbor High School in 20 years. Nathan talked about the support of his classmates and community, and talked about his personal best game.

8:23 – Josh Cribbs and Phil Dawson, two of Browns fans’ favorites, contracts are up for renewal and Kiley and Booms speculated about them resigning or being cut with fans on Twitter and the callers.

8:44 – Tony Zarrella, the sports director at 19 Action News and host of Tailgate 19, called in to talk about keeping Browns favorites, Cavs-Clippers and gay players in the NFL.

9:24 – Founder of Outsports.com, Cyd Zeigler, called in from West Hollywood to talk about the growing discussion about gay athletes in a mainstream sport, like the NFL. Cyd talked about how he’s been asked if an athlete will come out ever since 2001, but the amount of current players talking about the issue is new. Cyd theorized that something perhaps changed a few years ago when John Amaechi came out of the closet and we are just now seeing the results. Cyd then commented on Manti Te’o and NFL teams asking players about their sexual preference.

9:44 – And of course, it’s Friday, 9:40 a.m. and that means it’s the best of the week with In Case You Missed It.
