WJW/Fox 8 sports director John Telich called in as he does every Wednesday, this week to talk with Kiley and Booms about the Cavaliers re-hiring Mike Brown to replace Byron Scott as head coach. John called the situation “amazing,” and said during his many years of covering sports in Cleveland, he has seen everything from the Browns leaving town to LeBron announcing he is leaving the Cavs on national TV, and said here in Cleveland, “you expect these things to happen.” Despite this, John said he doesn’t have a problem with Brown being re-hired, citing Brown’s prowess as a defensive coach and one who gets his players to play a complete game. John also talked with the guys about Browns owner Jimmy Haslam, and his ongoing troubles with his company, Pilot Flying J.
