CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) – The Cleveland Cavaliers and the NBA released their schedule on Tuesday evening, and the Cavs will open the 2013-14 season at Quicken Loans Arena vs the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday, October 30th.
The game will feature Nets rookie head coach Jason Kidd, and new Nets Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, who came over form the Celtics.
The game will also be broadcast on NBA-TV.
The Cavaliers and Nets will also conclude the regular season in Cleveland on Wednesday April 16th.
This season the Cavs will make nine national television appearances including three games on ESPN, one game on TNT and five games on NBA TV.
As far as the champion Miami Heat go, LeBron James and his pals will play in Cleveland on Wednesday November 27th and Tuesday March 18th. The Cavs will play in Miami on Saturday December 14th.
The one time Cavs fans will have to see Kobe Bryant and the Lakers will be on Wednesday February 5th.
The Cavs will head to Los Angeles to play the Lakers on Tuesday January 14th as part of a five game road swing to the west coast.
It will be Mike Brown’s first trip back to Los Angeles to face his former team since being fired last season early in the season.
