Ohio To Stock State Park Ponds For Family Fishing

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — State wildlife officials are trying to make fishing a family affair in Ohio.

On Tuesday, Ohio will stock state-owned ponds at four state park locations with channel fish. The ponds are open to anyone who accompanies an angler age 15 or under.

The ponds are at Sycamore and Caesar Creek state parks in the Dayton area, Delaware State Park north of Columbus and Maumee Bay State Park near Toledo.

The family-oriented fishing areas are funded in part with fees paid for Ohio fishing licenses and federal contributions from an excise tax on fishing rods, reels and motor boat fuel.
