On the October 6, 2013, edition of Cleveland Connection, we learn about the Christmas Story House Fundraiser. Host Katherine Boyd talks with Angela Dickerson, Chief Operating Officer of A Christmas Story House in Tremont.

The house was featured in the Christmas cult classic film “A Christmas Story,” and is now a museum.

A Christmas Story House & Museum will host a fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 11:30 a.m., at the Cleveland Renaissance Hotel ballroom. The event is called “Mrs. Parker’s Little Piggy Luncheon.”

Proceeds from the fundraiser benefit the Christmas Story House Neighborhood Restoration Project, a non-profit foundation established to restore and maintain the neighborhood surrounding the Christmas Story House.

The foundation provides grants, both public and private, to projects that enhance and preserve the surrounding neighborhood. A Christmas Story House Neighborhood Restoration Project works with and is assisted by Tremont West Development Corporation.      Tremont West is a non-profit organization that works to serve over 9000 residents as well as over ninety small businesses with community building, neighborhood infrastructure improvements, home maintenance and repair and events planning and management.

Tickets for “Mrs. Parker’s Little Piggy Luncheon” are on sale now,  and are currently discounted for a limited time only.

“Mrs. Parker’s Little Piggy Luncheon” is an exclusive opportunity to enjoy a traditional meatloaf, mashed potato and red cabbage meal, just like Mrs. Parker made, while dining with cast members from the A Christmas Story movie.
