Bath Township Police Step Up Presence Around LeBron James’ Home
BATH TOWNSHIP (92.3 The Fan) – Bath Township Police have stepped up patrols in LeBron James’ neighborhood in anticipation of an announcement as to where he will play next season.
Local residents noticed the increased police presence Thursday morning.
Police are simply trying to maintain the flow of traffic around James’ mansion and ensure that local residents can get to and from their homes a law enforcement official tells 92.3 The Fan.
There have been additional officers stationed directly outside of James’ home.
James opted out of his contract with the Miami Heat and an announcement as to where he will play next season is expected at any moment.
The Cavaliers are thought to be the other finalist, besides the Heat, to land the 4-time NBA MVP.
Thursday morning the Cavaliers completed a 3-team trade with the Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics to clear enough cap space in order to sign James to a max-level contract.
The team also announced a max contract extension with 2-time All-Star guard Kyrie Irving.
