Well, that didn’t take long.
After an early Cody Kessler fumble led to a Ryan Tannehill TD strike to put the Dolphins up 7-0, Browns’ coach Hue Jackson decided that it was time for a change.
On the ensuing drive, quarterback turned wide receiver Terrelle Pryor began at quarterback but Kessler also jumped in on the drive under center.
It’s quite possible that giving Pryor some snaps at QB to help take the load off of Kessler in his first NFL start was in the game plan, but the optics were interesting if that was the case since Pryor started taking snaps right after the Kessler fumble.
Clearly the Browns are still trying to piece things together at quarterback on the fly after losing their top two starters in Robert Griffin III and Josh McCown.
