WHAT’S AT STAKE
Ohio State’s game is clicking on both sides of the ball, and the Buckeyes are expected to continue to roll through the early part of the Big Ten schedule. With a new quarterback and improved defense, the Hoosiers come fresh from upsetting Michigan State, last year’s Big Ten champion. Ohio State coach Urban Meyer says this is the best Indiana team he’s seen during his five years in Columbus.
Indiana QB Richard Lagow vs. the Ohio State defense. Lagow has brought new excitement to Bloomington. He’s 79 for 127 (62.2 percent) for 1,278 yards and nine touchdowns. In the upset of Michigan State last week he was 16 of 26 for 276 yards and two TDs, and even caught a touchdown pass. Ohio State’s defense ranks third in the nation overall and first in fewest points allowed (9.3 points per game), red zone defense and pass-efficiency defense. It has not allowed a rushing TD this season.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Indiana: WR Ricky Jones. The fifth-year senior caught five passes for 124 yards and a touchdown in the Michigan State win. It was his fifth career 100-yard receiving game.
Ohio State: RB Mike Weber. The freshman is showing signs of becoming the next elite running back at Ohio State. He galloped for 144 yards on 14 carries last week against Rutgers and had a touchdown on a 46-yard breakaway run.

Ohio State is second in the FBS in turnover margin (plus-8) with nine interceptions and two fumble recoveries. … Ohio State ranks third in the FBS and first in the Big Ten with 57 points per game.
