Cavs Lose In Atlanta, 99-93, As Starters Rest

Atlanta, GA (92.3 The Fan) – The Cleveland Cavaliers fell to the Atlanta Hawks, 99 to 93, on Monday night to suffer their first pre-season loss. The Cavs hung tough despite the fact that head coach Tyronn Lue held out LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, Iman Shumpert, Richard Jefferson, Channing Frye, Mike Dunleavy, Chris Anderson and Tristan Thompson.

The Cavs still had six players in double-figure, including rookie Kay Felder, who scored 15 points. Jonathan Holmes also scored 15, while Cory Jefferson added 13 points and 11 rebounds.

The Cavs will continue pre-season play Thursday night when they return to Quicken Loans Arena to play host to the Toronto Raptors.
