Ben Roethlisberger Not Committing To Playing In 2017, Says He’s “Uncertain”

Our sister station in Pittsburgh spoke with Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger, who told them some pretty shocking news.

Big Ben told 93.7 The Fan, “I’m going to take this off-season to evaluate, to consider all options.”

The 34-year-old quarterback, who will be 35 by the time next season starts, said he’s evaluating a number of things. “To consider health, and family and things like that and just kind of take some time away to evaluate next season, if there’s going to be a next season,” the Lima, OH native added.

More from CBS Local in Pittsburgh:

When asked if he’s going to play next year, Ben simply said, “I’m going to take some time and evaluate with my family and just do a lot of praying about it and make sure it’s the right thing for me and my family.”
