Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole reported on Monday that the San Francisco 49ers and Cleveland Browns are both potential suitors for Washington QB Kirk Cousins, who’s due to be a free agent during this upcoming NFL off-season.

That is, of course, pending on whether or not the Redskins choose to place a franchise tag on Cousins again, as they did in early 2016.

Cole reports that Cousins would fit in to the 49ers under his old offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan, who is reportedly going to take the San Francisco head coaching job. Cole adds that Cleveland is a potential landing spot because Cousins is familiar with Hue Jackson’s offense.
