Tests Show No Damage To Kevin Love’s Back, Will Sit Out Wednesday Night

CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) – The Cleveland Cavaliers got some good news Monday.

Tests on forward Kevin Love’s back did not reveal any structural damage but he will continue to rest and rehab.

Love, who remained in Cleveland while the Cavs played the Mavericks in Dallas Monday night, will not play Wednesday night at home against Minnesota the team said before determining what the next steps will be.

Love left Sunday’s 107-91 win over Oklahoma City in the first half due to lower back spasms. He left in the first half at Golden State on Jan. 16 due to soreness in his lower back and missed the following game on Jan. 19.

Love, selected earlier this week to his fourth All-Star game as a reserve of the Eastern Conference, is averaging 20.3 points and 11.1 rebounds per game this season.
