Report: Ohio State’s Malik Hooker To Miss Combine Following 2 Surgeries

CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) – Ohio State safety Malik Hooker will miss the NFL Combine and Ohio State’s pro day after undergoing a pair of surgeries according to multiple reports.

Hooker underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum and a hernia on Tuesday.

Walter Football first reported the news and Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller confirmed the story.

Hooker, who returned 3 of his 7 interceptions in 2016 for touchdowns, entered the draft season as the top safety in the NFL Draft according to the majority of experts and analysts.

Hooker was a projected first-round pick but the injuries could drop his stock come April 27.
