CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) – Thursday’s national TV audience won’t have to settle for Cleveland’s backups after all.
LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love will play in Thursday night’s contest in Oklahoma City, head coach Tyronn Lue indicated prior to the matchup.
Many anticipated the Cavaliers’ Big 3 would rest after leading their squad to a victory over the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night, but Lue said the trio wanted to play on Thursday.
Cleveland’s desire to rest their stars on the road during various portions of the season has fueled some outrage in the national media. The team’s decision to play James, Irving and Love will come during TNT’s coverage of Cavs-Thunder.
Charles Barkley, who recently engaged with a war of words with James, is part of TNT’s pre and postgame coverage on Thursday nights.
