WASHINGTON, D.C. — According to reports, Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden has received a two-year extension to his contract. The 50-year-old is now the first coach to be extended since owner Dan Snyder took over in 1999.
Gruden has gone 21-26-1 in his three seasons at the helm in D.C., but he coached his team to 17-14-1 record the last two seasons, capturing the NFC East title in 2015. His contract is now extended through the 2020 season.
