Jackson Homers In Debut, Tribe Falls to Angels 5-4

The Cleveland Indians fell to the Los Angeles Angels, 5-4, Thursday in Cactus League play.

Josh Tomlin tossed 3 2/3 of scoreless ball in his first start of the spring, allowing three hits and striking out one.

Austin Jackson made his spring debut, hitting a solo home run in the third inning. Tyler Naquin also hit a solo shot in the 7th. Jason Kipnis was 1-for-3 returning from a strained shoulder, and Ronny Rodriguez singled home two in the second.

The Tribe returns to the field Friday against the Giants at 3:05 PM EST, with Trevor Bauer opposing Madison Bumgarner.
