J.R. Smith Will Play Thursday Against Pistons

Cavaliers guard JR Smith will return to action Thursday night in Detroit after missing the last 36 games with a broken thumb.

Smith exited the December 20th game in Milwaukee after breaking his right thumb, and underwent surgery to repair it.

The shooting guard is averaging 8.6 points per game over 21 games this season, while shooting 36.2 percent from deep.
