COLUMBUS — The Cleveland Indians tweeted that second baseman Jason Kipnis will return from a bruised hand, suffered on a hit by pitch on Wednesday, on Saturday to continue his rehab assignment.

Kipnis is scheduled to play in AAA-Columbus on Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday while taking Monday night off.

Kipnis has been out of the Tribe’s lineup since March, when the team rested him in spring training with a sore shoulder. He appeared in three games with AA-Akron, batting .167 with four strikeouts.
