Simms Leaving CBS Broadcast Booth To Move to ‘NFL Today’ Studio

According to John Breech of CBSSports.com, football analyst and Super Bowl-winning quarterback Phil Simms will relocate on Sundays from the press box to the studio of ‘NFL Today.”

Simms will take over for Tony Gonzalez, who has decided to leave after three NFL seasons due to residing in Los Angeles and not wanting to travel to New York every week.

The position on “NFL Today” opened up after the hiring of former Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo by CBS.
