CLEVELAND (92.3 the Fan) – Cleveland Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis was scratched from the lineup against the Los Angeles Dodgers before Wednesday’s game due to neck spasms.

Erik Gonzalez replaces Kipnis at second and will bat 9th. Bradley Zimmer moves from 9th in the order to the lead off spot, his first career game batting 1st.

The two-time All-Star is slashing .225/.269/.405 in 44 games. He has a wOBA of .286 and wRC+, both career lows and below league average.
