Chris Paul And Blake Griffin To Opt Out Of Clippers Contracts

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — According to reports from Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical and ESPN, stars Chris Paul and Blake Griffin have decided to opt out of their contracts with the Los Angeles Clippers and become free agents this summer.

July 1 is the first day free agents can make verbal commitments to new teams.

Paul averaged 18.1 points and 9.2 assists per-game during the 2016-17 season. Griffin averaged 21.6 points and 8.1 rebounds per-game.
