CLEVELAND (92.3 the Fan) – The Cleveland Indians have placed OF Austin Jackson on the 10-day disabled list with a left quad strain, while recalling RHP Shawn Armstrong in a corresponding move.

Indians President Chris Antonetti said Jackson will be back in three to four weeks, with a rehab stint prior.

This is Jackson’s second stint on the DL in 2017 after suffering a hyperextended right great toe in early May. The righty is hitting .304 with nine doubles, a triple and three home runs over 37 RBI this season.

Armstrong is 1-0 in 11 appearances in the big leagues with a 5.02 ERA.
