Jason Kipnis Leaves Saturday’s Game With Right Hamstring Injury

CLEVELAND (92.3 the Fan) – Cleveland Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis left Saturday night’s game against the Detroit Tigers after he came up limping following a groundout in the 3rd inning. The injury was said to be to his right hamstring. No other details were provided.

Kipnis was replaced at second base by Erik Gonzalez.

The 30-year old has battled injury all season with a shoulder injury that caused him to miss most of Spring Training and part of April, then dealing with a stiff neck in June and July.

Before leaving the game, Kipnis was 4-for his last-12 with 4 doubles.
