With the Cleveland Browns settling down this week thanks to a bye, they have a chance to heal up some lingering injuries and assess the current state of the team. There are some players that need to do a lot to come around now, but there are others — especially some rookies — that have made solid names for themselves.
Andrew Hawkins is one of the smallest players on the Browns’ roster, but he’s made one of the biggest impressions so far this season.
Moral victories no longer exist or reside in Cleveland. There are no excuses with Mike Pettine now roaming the sidelines. The Browns have raised the bar from hoping to win to expecting to win.
Following Thursday’s practice players rushed to catch flights but before they took off Pettine, position coaches as well as the team’s director of player engagement Dr. Jamil Northcutt reminded them to “act like a Brown” and stay out of trouble.
